By car, by plane, by bus… There are many ways of getting here.
When coming to us by car from the central east of Norway, follow E 16 towards Fagernes passing Hønefoss, or through Hadeland and Tonsåsen. From the west you also follow E 16 towards Fagernes.
When driving from the north of Norway, head for Gjøvik and Dokka.
Upon reaching Fagernes, follow rv. 51 towards Beitostølen. Turn left towards Beito when you get to Beitostølen centre. Follow this road approx. 2 km, turn right, and keep going for approx 1 km and turn left. Both last turns have signs pointing you in the direction of Grønolen.
The comfortable Valdres express-bus is a practical way to travel for those who prefer not driving. The bus leaves from Oslo (Galleri Oslo) five times a day, two of which takes you directly to Beitostølen, the other three where you change buses at Fagernes.
The Valdres express is also accessible from Oslo Gardermoen Airport. When travelling from the east or west, you will find regular bus lines between Bergen – Årdal – Sogndal – Fagernes – Beitostølen – Lillehammer.
In the tourist season you can also get on the Valdres Express from Copenhagen via Helsingør/Helsingborg and Gothenburg once a week.
See JVB´s own webpage for timetables and more information.
